Italy

Term Four Assignments
This term we got given a task in which we had to choose a country to learn and study about its food culture. Maritza and I were partners and we chose Italy. We found out some amazing things about their food culture and how they run stuff when it came to their foods. I believe choosing Italy was a good decision we made because I’ve always wanted to know more about Italians foods and cooking utensils. I now know a whole new knowledge about Italia’s foods and what they don’t eat. We had an assignment in which we had to find out things like their main ingredients in which they use their religion influence, their cooking utensils and their main cookery methods. We got all the information in which we needed to present our assignment to the class so they had an understanding of Italian foods. I thought that our presentation went well and we had the information which we needed to answer the questions sufficiently.

Our second assignment which we did for this term was cooking food from our chosen cultures. With this assignment we got paired up with another couple so that we made our cultured food and they made their cultured food. We got paired with Christie and Annaliese. Maritza and I decided to make a BBQ meat lover pizza while Christie and Annaliese decided to make desserts which included chocolate fudge and chocolate mousse. Our pizza was very easy to cook; I started off with frying up 3 sausages while Maritza started with cutting up the onion and the tomatoes. After I was finished with the sausages I fried up the little bits of bacon while Maritza started to put all the other ingredients onto the two pizzas. When I finished with the bacon and placed that on the two pizzas, we tossed some cheese on both of them and shoved them in the oven to bake for 12-15 minutes. While this time passed we cleaned up all the utensils we used and put them all back into their cabinets.

I think our end result turned out how I planned and looked very delicious.
